FINLAND WON EUROVISION! Yeah, it's old news now but I haven't been home to post. My deprived readers in the US may not know about the contest, but let's just say it's a big deal, and it's been joked for years that hell would freeze over before Finland ever won the contest. Wonder how the devil looks in a fur lined parka...

Finnish weather explained

This is as warm as it gets in Finland, so we'll start here.
People in Spain wears winter-coats and gloves.
The Finns are out in the sun, getting a tan.

'a big deal'...that doesn't even cover it by half james! it is the biggest night of the year ;) ok so since everyone has been singing in English the last few years we haven't won nearly as much but still...it is a MUST for fancy dress alcohol and bad music- what more could you want?! a 70 year old man stopped me in town today in my 'suomi' jumper and said, suomi- that's finland isn't it? did you see their entry for the eurovision??? shocking! Finland is officially on the map in the world!!! :D p.s. you just made my dissertation a whole lot easier with that post!!!
